Are you watching for RED flags?

The RED flags you see displayed around campus this month are part of The Red Flag Campaign - #RedFlagUAFS!

Many people want the support and companionship that comes with being in a relationship, especially on Valentine's Day, but not every relationship is healthy or positive.  In fact, dating violence happens in 1 out of every 5 college relationships.  Sometimes it takes a friend to see that one person is being hurt and the relationship is unhealthy.  As friends, we have a responsibility to watch out for each other.  That's why when you see a RED flag, #SaySomething!

Recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships - these are RED flags!

  • Dishonesty
  • Physical Abuse
  • Disrespect
  • Intimidation
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Isolation
  • Hostility

If you or a friend needs help, call the local Donald W. Reynolds Crisis Intervention Center at 1-800-359-0056 or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).
