Cub Camp Counselor Applications Available!

Counselor applications for Cub Camp 2018 are available online or in the Student Life Office, Campus Center 115, until January 24th. Cub Camp is run by upperclassmen students who assist first-time, full-time entering freshmen in acclimating to life at UAFS. Cub Camp is split up into seven different camps each maintained by two Chairs and 10-12 Counselors. Counselors interact with freshmen campers through activities, performing skits, and helping campers feel more comfortable at UAFS.

Counselors must:

·         Perform any activities deemed necessary by their camp Chair or D-Staff to execute Cub Camp effectively

·         Attend and participate in all mandatory work days

·         Attend and participate in all individual camp meetings

·         Prepare, rehearse, and perform skits for campers during Individual Camp time during Cub Camp

·         Lead a personalized Den Group time with campers

·         Maintain a positive attitude and promote UAFS pride

·         Be able to communicate effectively with all freshmen and staff

·         Be respectful of all freshmen and staff

·         Prepare freshmen for a successful college experience

·         Assist in developing leadership skills through being proper role models

·         Complete a yearlong plan on maintaining contact and positive interaction with Den Group members
