The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith campus community and residents of the greater Fort Smith region will have the opportunity to get their game on during the university’s annual Homecoming festivities Feb. 5-10.
The talents of music faculty at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will be on display during the Music Faculty Showcase held at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 as part of the university’s Season at The Blue Lion.

For the last seven years, the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps has been a part of cadet Michael Dotson’s life. He participated in it while at Northside High School and continued into the ROTC program at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. On Jan. 4, Dotson’s time with the ROTC program came to an end when he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army during a ceremony held at Faith United Methodist Church.  
The Bumper Jacksons, a six-piece band showcasing an eclectic mix of folk music, will come to The Blue Lion at UAFS Downtown, located at 101 N. 2nd Street, for a performance at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
