Twenty-Eight Area Youth to be Princesses/Princes at Miss UAFS

Twenty-eight local children will participate in the Miss UAFS Scholarship Pageant Feb. 24 through the Princess/Prince Program, a non-competitive program allowing children ages 5-10 to take part in pageant festivities.

 

Each participant will meet Miss UAFS 2017, receive a T-shirt, goodie bag and a tiara or medallion. They will also make three onstage appearances during the Miss UAFS Pageant. Activities also include a tea party with Miss UAFS and Miss Arkansas.

 

Princesses and princes this year are:

 

Alma: Hailey Cottrell, 9, daughter of Lance Cottrell and Heather Chance and David Chance and Chelsea Cottrell; Destine Chance, 5, daughter of David Chance and Amy Smith and Heather Chance; Hadleigh Marie Miller, 8, daughter of Michael Miller and Dawna Dunn and Mandy Miller and William Dunn; and Jax Nelson, 6, son of James and Anna Nelson;

 

Barling: Brinnley Adams, 10, daughter of James and Anna Nelson;

 

Booneville: Ayden Rhinehart, 7, son of Ann Allisson and Craig Rhinehart and Tiffany Rhinehart and Shawn Allison.

 

Fort Smith: Elowyn Fisher, 5, daughter of Samantha Fisher and Jeremy Nolen and Clay Fisher; Mackenzy Jadyn Knubley, 9, daughter of Chris and Kristel Knubley; Haven Matlock, 6, daughter of Ty and Meagan Matlock; Daniella Newman, 10, daughter of Josh and Rita Newman; Ember Mae Nolen, 10, daughter of Samantha and Clay Fisher and Jeremy Nolen; Everly Grace Pollard, 8, daughter of Al and Kristi Pollard; Alyssa Shaw, 9, daughter of Marion Burris; Quinn Smith, 6, daughter of William and Megan Smith; Abigail Whitt, 9, and Olivia Whitt, 6, daughters of Kane and Judy Whitt.

 

Greenwood: Allie Oswald, 5, daughter of Shane Oswald and Faelynn Ramsey and Haley Oswald and Brandon Ramsey; Hannah Marie Ramsey, 10, daughter of Holly Bates and Brandon Ramsey and Loyd Bates and Faelynn Ramsey.

 

Hackett: Jenna Dayle Black, 7, and Stephanie Leann Black, 6, daughters of Larry and Jessica Black.

 

Howe: Stella Rorabaugh, 8, daughter of Robert Rorabaugh.  

 

Lavaca: Jerlyn Fryar, 8, daughter of Jeremy and Ginalyn Fryar;

 

Magazine: Kennedy Boyle, 6, daughter of Chris Boyle and Karen McAnally.

 

Ozark: Tayvee White, 7, daughter of Casey and Kristi White.

 

Poteau, Okla.: Hadleigh McClendon, 5, daughter of Bobby and Callie McClendon;

 

Spiro, Okla.: Kendall Callahan, 6, daughter of Robert and Charlita Callahan; and Brynna Cogburn, 6, daughter of Matthew and Ashley Cogburn.

 

Van Buren: Caleigh Anne Boster, 7, daughter of Michael and Alexis Boster

 

The Miss UAFS Pageant is a preliminary pageant to the Miss Arkansas and Miss America scholarship programs and will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at the ArcBest Performing Arts Center at the Fort Smith Convention Center, located at 55 S. 7th St. Tickets are $10 and are available from the UAFS Box Office in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center by calling 479-788-7300 or visiting http://uafs.universitytickets.com
