The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith’s Season of Entertainment brings the Jazz Catz and Jazz Band back to the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, with selections sure to delight music lovers of all ages. 
Air Force veteran Jana Aydelott-Leeper came to the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith after an intense career in the military as a weather forecaster and observer, looking to enrich her natural talents in entrepreneurship. The Roland, Oklahoma, native traveled to 28 countries while on active duty but returned home to the River Valley to earn her degree in a supportive, empowering community.
The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith celebrated National First-Generation Student Day Friday, Nov. 8, alongside fellow campuses across the country.
Jen Fry, a nationally acclaimed speaker and social justice educator, led training sessions, discussion groups, and workshops on the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith campus Tuesday, encouraging conversation on diversity and inclusion in higher education and athletics. 
A week from today the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Season of Entertainment will present the 2016 Tony Award winning Broadway production, The Color Purple to river valley fans, UAFS students and a special guest audience of area high school students.
