When deciding where to go to college, high school stand-out Casey Ludolph of Pea Ridge considered numerous universities as her top choices, but when she arrived for her campus tour at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, she knew she’d found her home. What she didn’t realize was that UAFS would become where she found her voice and herself. 
UAFS and ABB introduce inaugural Youth Apprenticeship Program
The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith has partnered with ABB to introduce the first Youth Apprenticeship Program for advanced manufacturing in the state of Arkansas. The collaborative program was launched at the Fort Smith Area Chamber of Commerce Signing Day on May 3 when nine students from six local high schools officially joined ABB as apprentices.

MathUp Program Helps UAFS Students Succeed, Save Money
Students completing the innovative MathUp program at UAFS saved a total of 202 credit hours, $40,400 in tuition costs, and 51 semesters toward graduation in the first summer of the program. In 2017, MathUp saved students a total of 190 credit hours, $42,440 in tuition, and 51 semesters toward graduation.

Serna Selected as University of Maine at Farmington President
