MathUp Program Helps UAFS Students Succeed, Save Money
Students completing the innovative MathUp program at UAFS saved a total of 202 credit hours, $40,400 in tuition costs, and 51 semesters toward graduation in the first summer of the program. In 2017, MathUp saved students a total of 190 credit hours, $42,440 in tuition, and 51 semesters toward graduation. 
FEC to Host Award-Winning Business Author
The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Family Enterprise Center will host New York Times top-ten author Dr. Tom Deans, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, as the keynote speaker for the quarterly breakfast meeting of the Family Enterprise Center (FEC).

Serna Selected as University of Maine at Farmington President
University of Arkansas – Fort Smith interim chancellor Dr. Edward Serna will depart the university to assume the role of president of the University of Maine at Farmington. His last day at UAFS will be June 30, 2019.
UAFS Athletics Hosts Youth Summer Camps
This summer children of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in instructional camps focusing on the sports of baseball, basketball and volleyball, as well as, for the first time, cross country running, thanks to the UAFS Athletics Department
Darbeau Appointed Interim Dean of the UAFS College of Health Sciences
Dr. Ron W. Darbeau, dean of the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and the School of Education, has been appointed to serve as the interim dean of the UAFS College of Health Sciences effective immediately.
