UAFS Students Excel at PBL Leadership Conference
Eleven members of the Phi Beta Lambda chapter at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith returned from the Arkansas PBL State Leadership Conference with a total of 19 awards, with all members qualifying to represent UAFS and Arkansas at the PBL National Leadership Conference this summer in Chicago, Ill.
UAFS Sweeps Awards at Radiography Conference
Students of the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith’s radiography program competed against other programs from across the state at the annual conference of the Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologists in Jonesboro, and UAFS swept the three areas of competition.

UAFS Breaks Ground for Recreation and Wellness Center
The effort to create a new fitness center on the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith campus began in 2013 with a group of students wanting to make a change. And those efforts culminated in a groundbreaking April 15 on the southwest corner of campus for the university’s newest building -- the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Cheer Team Wins NCA National Championship
UAFS can now add another national championship trophy to its trophy case. The UAFS cheer team won its first NCA Collegiate Cheer Intermediate Coed II Division National Championship on Friday at The Band Shell in Daytona Beach, Fla., out-performing nine teams over a two-day span to win the title.
UAFS Percussion Ensemble to Perform April 29
The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Percussion Ensemble is set to perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. April 29 in the Breedlove Auditorium on the UAFS campus.

Taylor to Speak at UAFS Commencement May 9
The chair of the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Foundation and vice president of a financial services firm for the greater Fort Smith region will serve as the keynote speaker for the university’s spring commencement ceremonies held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 9 in the Stubblefield Center on the UAFS campus.
Theatre@UAFS Students Take Helm for “One-Act Showcase”
For three nights in April, students of the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith’s theatre program will take on the role of director for the program’s annual “One-Act Showcase,” a variety show of short productions.
