Donated Sculpture Installed at Windgate
A sculpture by a local artist was installed recently in front of Windgate Art & Design at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, a focal point of the university’s new visual arts facility.
Lot J at UAFS Reopened
The re-surfacing of the West-Ark Church of Christ parking lot (Lot J) is nearly done. The church staff anticipates that the lot will be open for university parking on Tuesday, Aug. 25. With the exception of an anticipated half-day closing for a church event on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 27, the lot will now be open on a daily basis for UAFS commuter parking.
Trubitt to Present on Ouachita Mountains
Indian communities in the Ouachita Mountains will be the topic of discussion during a presentation at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in room 204 of the Math-Science Building on the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith campus.

Windgate Art and Design Opening Set for Sept. 3
The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will showcase its new visual arts facility at 6 p.m. Sept. 3 during a grand opening event that will include a ribbon cutting, an open house of the facility, and the opening of a gallery show featuring prominent international artists.
UAFS to Host Washor for Student Engagement Talk
The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will host Elliot Washor for a lecture on increasing student engagement and reducing dropout rates at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 in room 122 of the Boreham Library. The lecture is free and open to the public.
