Veteran Student finds Camaraderie, Support at UAFS
Air Force veteran Jana Aydelott-Leeper came to the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith after an intense career in the military as a weather forecaster and observer, looking to enrich her natural talents in entrepreneurship. The Roland, Oklahoma, native traveled to 28 countries while on active duty but returned home to the River Valley to earn her degree in a supportive, empowering community.

The University of Arkansas Fort Smith Foundation’s scholarship portal Lions Share is now open to UAFS students. The Scholarship Hub and Resource Engine connects UAFS students to scholarships made possible by the generous support of private donors.
UAFS Master's Grad Myers Finds Confidence, Calling
Jake Myers came into the Master’s in Health Care Administration program at UAFS with no medical experience, but a passion for making a difference through leadership. After earning his MHCA, Myers has found a job and a calling right in his hometown.
