Season 35 Choral Concert to be Held Oct. 13

Choral ConcertThe Department of Music and Theatre at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will present their first concert of the year at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 as part of Season of Entertainment 35.


The concert’s theme is "The Folk and the Sacred: A World of Music" and will be performed at the ArcBest Performing Arts Center at the Fort Smith Convention Center, located at 55 S. 7th Street. Admission is by Season 35 season ticket, or individual tickets are $6.


The concert will feature the UAFS Chorale, a select mixed choir, and the UAFS Women’s Chorus under the direction of Dr. Rager H. Moore, director of choral activities.


“We have had a wonderful beginning to our semester,” Moore said. “The music is fun, and the spirits are high.”


The choirs will perform folk and traditional songs from several countries, including England, Scotland, the United States, Romania, Argentina, and the Philippines.
