Ninth Annual St. Jude Breakaway Set for April 2 at UAFS

The Sigma Nu fraternity at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will hold the ninth annual St. Jude Breakaway 5K at 9 a.m. April 2, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The race will begin at the Bell Tower on UAFS campus. Early registration, which is $15, lasts until March 25 and guarantees a free T-shirt. Registration after March 25 is $20, and racers can register the day of the race.

St. Jude Children’s Hospital, located in Memphis, is a research and treatment hospital that cares for children from around the world with pediatric diseases. Last year, Sigma Nu donated $3600 to St. Jude’s and, according to fraternity president Andrew Haught, Sigma Nu is “trying to continue [their] legacy of giving by hosting this great event again.”
