The UAFS move-in crew helps students move into their residence
halls during last year's move-in day.
University of Arkansas - Fort Smith students will move into campus housing from 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Aug. 18 and from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Aug. 19 - 20.
Chancellor Paul Beran and UAFS First Lady Janice Beran will assist with move-in efforts at the Lion’s Den over the weekend. Student, faculty and staff volunteers will assist with move-in efforts, as well as Chancellor Paul B. Beran and UAFS First Lady Janice Beran.
“Fall move-in is one of the most eventful days on campus because everyone is excited for the start of a new school year, parents are saying their goodbyes to their children, and returning students are meeting the freshmen class,” Beth Eppinger, director of housing and residential life said. “UAFS has very involved students and staff who volunteer their time to move-in everything from refrigerators to small harmless fish to baseball hat collections, everyone is happy to lend a hand and help create a home away from home for all the students.”
Members of the Chancellor’s Move-In Crew will be wearing bright green T-shirts, and will help with coordinating traffic, unloading cars and transporting belongings to student housing.
