The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will hold three public meet and greet events to introduce the UAFS community and the region to each of the finalist candidates for the position of Executive Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
Public sessions will be held virtually over Zoom at 3:15 p.m. for each candidate, on Friday, Nov. 13 with Dr. Tasha Alston; Monday, Nov. 16, with Mr. John Blue; and Thursday, Nov. 19, with Dr. Pamela Hill.
“After refining the job description to fit the needs of the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith following a failed search in March, the search committee has not only been impressed at the talent and skill of these candidates, but has also found them to be right fits for the work that must be done at UAFS,” explained provost Dr. Georgia Hale, who has led the search process and chaired the search committee. “We are confident that either of these finalists will be able to drive the institution forward toward its goal of improving diversity, equity and inclusion on campus.”
