Before the crowning of this year’s Miss UAFS, last year’s winner Joni Fields-Adams said her successor was “in for the ride of a lifetime.” Katie Brown will be the one to take that ride. The Alma native was crowned Miss UAFS 2016 over 17 other contestants during the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith’s scholarship pageant March 12, which saw the awarding of more than $17,000 in scholarships to contestants.
