The Marketing and Communications Office at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith earned four ADDY Awards at the awards ceremony of the Northeast Arkansas chapter of the American Advertising Federation.
Laura Wattles of Fort Smith, a graphic designer, earned a gold award for her illustration titled “Curiouser and Curiouser,” and photographer Rachel Putman of Van Buren won a silver award for black and white photography for her photo of the Lady Lions basketball team after they won the Heartland Conference Championship.
Additionally, Carl Hulsey of Fort Smith, interim marketing director, notched bronze awards for brochure design for the arts and book design.
Wattles’ illustration and Putman’s photograph qualify for regional ADDY awards, which will be announced during the AAF’s District 10 Convention in Dallas, Texas.
The Northeast Arkansas chapter of the American Advertising Federation is located in Jonesboro, and the annual awards ceremony recognizes excellence in the advertising industry, with entries judged on creativity, originality and creative strategy.
