The Student Activities Office at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith is giving everyone a chance to save a life during the last blood drive of the semester on April 10 and 11.
The blood drive is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center and is open to the public.
Stephanie London of Fort Smith, student activities event coordinator, said drawings for prizes will take place both days.
“All donors will receive a T-shirt and a free health screening and will be entered to win door prizes,” London said.
UAFS has been breaking records all year with the number of donors compared to previous years, London added, and she hopes to do the same in April.
“This is also our ‘Bleed Blue Battle’ where students at The Lion’s Den Residence halls and those at Sebastian Commons Apartments compete to see who can get the most students to donate,” she said.
Appointments for the blood drive may be made the week ahead of the drive by signing up at a table in the Campus Center hallway. Walk-ins are also welcome. For more information or to make an appointment, contact London by telephone at 479-788-7697 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
