CLL Offers New Classes with Fall Schedule

The fall schedule for the Center for Lifelong Learning at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith includes a variety of lectures, short-term classes and tours to fill a wide range of interests, with the first classes beginning in August.

Jeff Adams of Fort Smith, CLL director, said the CLL offerings are a mix of old favorites and new ideas to try.

“Favorites include the art of photography taught by local experts well versed in helping students get the best out of their camera, as well as computer skills for all ages taught by patient, caring instructors and set in a computer lab for hands-on experience,” Adams said. “Our new classes feature ways to change the outlook on life and increase well-being through learning how to meditate, or learning to exercise using the skills of a 5,000 year old discipline known as Qigong.”

CLL is also offering new classes that help parents with conflict management and parenting, as well a nutrition series that gives tips for all ages to eat and live well.
