Professor of Management
Dr. Kermit Kuehn (pronounced Keen) is a professor of management at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith and the former director of the university's Center for Business Research and Economic Development.
Kermit came to UAFS in 2006, serving as a part-time faculty member in management and entrepreneurship and as a part-time director of the Family Enterprise Center. He continued in that role until the end of 2008. He previously worked for 10 years in universities in the United Arab Emirates and Oman as a faculty member and in various administrative roles.
Prior to his international experiences, Kermit was a faculty member at King’s College in Pennsylvania and has also been a practitioner in the field as a business consultant, director of finance, vice president and chief financial officer in small- to medium-sized firms.
A native of Nebraska, Dr. Kuehn earned his doctorate in 1993 in the area of management from the University of Nebraska. He also holds a Master in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.
