Associate Professor in the Center for Business and Professional Development
Micki Voelkel, an associate professor in the Center for Business and Professional Development at UAFS, is an instructor with a creative yet practical approach to classroom training with expertise in computer applications, quality processes, project management, problem solving and communication.
She is high-energy presenter who makes the learning experience fun and interesting. She specializes in breaking down complex concepts and translating technical terms so that the non-technical person can easily understand them. She is a Six Sigma Black Belt and holds multiple Microsoft Office Specialist certifications.
Before she came to UAFS in March 1999, she spent seven years at Holt-Krock Clinic, where she developed an in-house computer-training program for both a practice management computer system and the Microsoft Office application software suite. Her background also includes user support and help desk coordination, public relations and advertising.
She holds a bachelor's degree in speech from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., a master's in adult education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and a doctorate in workforce development education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. An actress and singer, she has more than 30 years’ experience in both community and professional theatre and music groups.
